Retail Banking Innovations Asia Pacific 2008 - Banking in a Brave New World
Retail Banking Innovations 2008 aims to address new frontiers in the industry and the changing concept of retail banking and consumer finance in the Asia Pacific region – with a highly content-driven and provocative agenda.
I was delighted to speak at Retail Banking Innovations. I had a great time in Singapore. Not only it was my first successful speaking engagement in Asia, but the event was excellent. What a good line up.
Congrats to the VRL Knowledgebank team, and especially Linda!
Edwin Van Raalte, Senior Manager Business Development at Rabobank
By coincidence, I was sitting next to Edwin during the first session of the event. We got on well straight away, and Edwin kindly offered me to shoot a few pictures during my presentation as part of the "Rethinking Everything" session. When I am presenting on Banking 2.0, I always focus on initiatives from US banks like Wells Fargo and Bank of America. I was happily surprised to find out about the comprehensive range of web 2.0 features available on Rabobank's Direct Banking platforms: blogs, viral Christmas cards campaign, online competitions...
Edwin is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate social media champions I have ever met. I enjoyed his presentation, and I will quote him: today banks must "prepare their PR strategy around web 2.0 campaigns".
I invite you to watch my video interview with Edwin:
